The CBC has announced their fall/winter schedule, and it's impressive.
I won't recite the entire schedule, but you can find it here. It's a fabulous collection of news programming, returning comedies & dramas, plus all new mini-series, movies, specials, and (funny enough) reality shows that may actually be ABOUT reality. Who would have thought that could happen...?
The best news, in my opinion, is that the CBC is increasing its broadcasting of quality British programs, with several new shows (including a rumour that they may broadcast the returning Doctor Who...a thought that makes me drool with excitement).

But the big news is the moving of the massively popular Brit-soap Coronation Street to prime time, at 7:30pm. During last season's British Week, prime time Corrie broadcasts brought in almost a million viewers per episode. I myself became addicted to Coronation Street in high school, but my interest fell off when my inability to get home to watch the early afternoon broadcasts left me out of the story loop. It looks like I may become an addict once more, thanks to the Mothercorp...and I couldn't be happier.
Note to American networks: you CAN broadcast quality and quantity. Try it sometime. Watch the CBC this fall and take notes. ![]()
