This is an infra-red satellite image I took from the CNN website. I’ve always found it fascinating to find beauty inside the most horrific forces of nature, and it’s images like this that grab me by the throat. It’s massive, raging, angry, unstoppable…a gorgeous maelstrom of terrifying energy. Technology gives us this picture of something none of us would ever want to live through…yet we are compelled to watch it’s awesome power, despite our misgivings.
On a lighter note, watching Anderson Cooper (the craziest anchor EVER!) trying to stay upright as he reported in last night from Mobile, Alabama, was very very funny.
