Two thoughts from my weekend:
(1) IKEA REALLY IS COMING TO KITCHENER! The girders are already up at the building site! I can already smell the furniture, and taste the packed parking lot car fumes…
I am rather worried by the traffic it will cause. That area is exploding like uncontrolled fungus. Add IKEA to the power centre mix, and we might be in trouble…but WHO CARES! :-)
(ME, writing from this day in 2008): So…no IKEA. My informants were incorrect. But the traffic from the new Sunrise Power Centre DOES threaten to swallow everything in its great maw. When cops have to direct traffic in a mall parking lot, it must qualify as a sign of civilization’s imminent fall!
(2) I HATE YOU, EXTREME MAKE-OVER, HOME EDITION! Once again, you made me cry like a baby last night. Damn you and your ability of finding sweet, loving families! Turn off your beam into my soul, Ty Pennington!
