The Supreme Court has finally given its answer to the government’s reference question: Same Sex Marriage IS LEGAL, CAN BE LEGAL, and by all accounts, has enough votes in Parliament to CONFIRM ITS LEGALITY!
Am I happy? Of course I am! We’ve finally proved that we are just as tolerant as Belgium and the Netherlands! That there was ever any doubt about that fact annoyed me. WE are the most tolerant, peaceful, harmonious nation on the planet (at least, we try VERY HARD).
The only other thing I’ll say at the moment is this: to all the freaky religious idiots out there who oppose same sex marraige, YOU HAVE LOST!
Your use of religious beliefs as an excuse for bigotry, prejudice & hate has failed. You will all be consigned to the dustbin of history, and I’m going to hold the party that sends you on your way!
Don’t let the door hit your ass on the way out.
