According to scientists, the quake on Sunday was so powerful, it shifted the Earth off its axis, and permanently sped up the rotation of the planet. It may be necessary to add a leap second to the end of the year.
Power on that scale is inconceivable.
The death toll currently stands at over 114 000. I’ll let news reports speak for the rest of today…I’m going to Toronto for the day to try and get away from this carnage and destruction, if only for a little while.
