Stephen Harper launched his hateful, bigoted campaign against same sex marriage yesterday in Quebec (ironically, the most tolerant of provinces, and where he can’t get a vote for love or money!), warning that if same-sex legislation becomes law, the Liberals won’t be able to prevent fundamentalist groups from requesting extreme types of marriages such as polygamy.
“I don’t want to get into the polygamy debate, but I fear if we do this, the next thing on the Liberal agenda will be polygamy and who knows what else.”
Ok, that’s it!
This is nothing more than spreading fear and hatred. It’s like something out of Germany in the 1930s!
How in the name of bloody hell can Stephen Harper stand up and say that he is a Canadian? Everything that comes out of his mouth is an anathema to the tolerance and compassion that has etched itself into the very fabric of this country over the last 40 years!
He gives lip service to the supremacy of the Charter of Rights, when he’d rather use it to wipe his arse in the bathroom!
A tolerant society should be intolerant of only one thing: INTOLERANCE!
Mr. Harper, you are not even worthy of being the scum I occasionally scrape off the bottom of my shoe. You don’t deserve citizenship in this glorious nation, nor do any of your co-horts in the salivating-fascist organization that masquerades as the Conservative Party of Canada. John A. MacDonald is wretching in some corner of heaven, sickened at the idea that you have usurped his legacy. Even Diefenbaker, in all his paranoid, megalomaniacal glory, would spit in your path!
I hope that one of your children turns out to be gay, Mr. Harper — then you can articulate all your vile hatred and prejudice to your own flesh and blood.
PS: Note to Inky Mark, another Conservative MP. The Globe and Mail reports that you met with 54 religious leaders from your community, to plot strategies for continuing the fight against gay marriage.
Did anyone ever tell you that there’s already a country where such strategies are officially sanctioned? Iran would be more than happy to open its theocratic, lunatic arms to you and your kind. Please…hurry…fill out their citizenship application now!
