The Monday Potpurri

1—I have switched my internet service from Bell Sympatico to Rogers. Bell simply collapsed on me, and I dumped them. Unfortunately, it seemed almost impossible to get rid of the Sympatico stuff off my computer…it didn’t seem very obvious where to find the software. The tech guy spent ages on the phone with the Rogers support line, and it seems to be working now, although when I launch Internet Explorer, it seems to search for proxy settings for 10 seconds before actually diving into the Internet.

One day, I hope to have a computer where everything works as it should. Maybe it’s time to switch to Apple…

2—Who will be the new pope? Good question…but I’m betting it will be another conservative hard-ass who will make life difficult for women, gays, and the third-world poor and dying.

Maybe it’s time to switch to the United Church…

3—Waiting to hear where the Pope will be buried. There is speculation that he might be buried in his homeland of Poland, which would be a nice, poetic touch. Then again, I might be biased, considering that I’m Polish…
