Let me count the ways:

1—If an election were called, we’d end up with a Conservative minority government. Bad enough we’d get virtually the same result we have today…but this time, headed by the homophobic, mysoginistic Satan and his unholy bagmen!
2—People who complain about the tyranny of majority governments should WANT this minority parliament to actually get down to work and pass legislation that this country desperately needs. If no one seems willing to try, god help us if we ever have a proportional system that leaves us with minority governments all the time! We’ll be having elections every year…and I, for one, don’t fancy becoming the new Italy.
3—An election offering the Conservatives a chance to come to power will NOT help the federalist cause in Quebec. They share none of the political & social sentiments in that province, and they have all the subtlety of an Italian soccer mob! (boy, Italy is really getting it from me today…)
4—Why waste the money to go to the polls one year after the last election? If the Gomery Inquiry is the excuse…can’t we at least wait until it comes out with its report? Stephen Harper seems to think that Canadians don’t need to wait for the Gomery judgement. Then again, this is the same party that believes the RCMP can’t be trusted to investigate the issue because they’re in the pocket of the Liberal government! C’mon, you sanctimonious Conservative bastards — you can’t have it both ways…
Are these 4 reasons enough? They sure as hell better be, or we’re in for a hell of a time in the next few months.
Meanwhile, there’s a nice flower show going on in the North Korean capital. If only we could visit… ![]()
