And we're (almost) off to the races

The dumb-ass caucus that calls itself the Conservative Party of Canada voted last night to bring down the minority Liberal government at the first opportunity.

They are truly pathetic creatures.

First of all, you have Conservative MP Monte Solberg, railing against the Liberal-NDP budget as one that risks plunging the country into deficit…even though it’s a BALANCED BUDGET! And these people have the temerity to say that it’s only the Liberals that use scare tactics…?

Secondly, this threat to bring down the government has kept Canadian officials away from the 60th anniversary celebrations of the liberation of the Netherlands. The vets might be grumbling that the Prime Minister and his caucus have chosen politics over patriotism, but the blame should be laid squarely at the feet of the hateful Conservatives.

SIGH…

This is going to end up being one strange week in Ottawa.
