Oh, for (LITERALLY) God's Sake!

There’s a reason John Paul is winking in this picture…

Pope Benedict XVI is fast-tracking his predecessor’s nomination for sainthood, telling clergy in Rome Friday that the traditional five-year waiting period will be waived for John Paul II.

WHY?

They waited centuries before canonizing Joan of Arc — a 14 year old girl who (apparently) spoke directly with saints & led the French armies to victory over the English! Those deeds, both real and (possibly) imagined, I’d classify as miraculous and worthy of saintly consideration.

And yet…WHY did she have to wait, but John Paul — a man who despised gay people and women, and turned a blind eye to sexual abuse committed by priests — gets to be fast-tracked?

What kind of religious cult are these sycophants at the Vatican running…?

I’ll tell you what kind: the one John Paul II himself created. This is a direct result of his legacy…no wonder he’s winking!
