My thoughts yesterday centred around WHY Michael Jackson’s trial is newsworthy, ahead of so many other issues. Thanks to The Globe and Mail, I found a quote from NBC’s Brian Williams, host of that network’s flagship supper hour newscast. He provides some much needed closure on the matter:
“A lot of people, especially those who write to and e-mail us, have wondered about the importance of covering the molestation trial of a 46-year old pop star, whose best professional moments may well be behind him. We have tried very hard to limit coverage of the Jackson trial to the most newsworthy days in the proceedings. Tonight, at long last, it is time to move on.”
Bless you, Brian. ![]()
So, I’ve written up my latest Doctor Who review below, and I’m putting Wacko-Jacko out of my head. Moving on…
