There’s a new documentary coming out that I’m interested in seeing…
Robert Greenwald’s Wal-Mart: The High Cost of Low Price, was released this past Tuesday, and opens in cinemas in New York and Los Angeles on November 4th.
Made on a shoestring budget of $1.8 million, it will get limited release in theatres, but in the current age of popular documentaries, Greenwald hopes it will become a cult hit like Michael Moore’s critique of General Motors, Roger and Me.
Funnily enough, in response, Wal-Mart is coming out with its response to this latest offensive against its imperial retail overlorship:
“Why Wal-Mart Works and Why That Makes Some People Crazy”.
They can make all the movies they want extolling their own virtues…but the poster for the Greenwald documentary is priceless, and almost worth the admission price alone. Enjoy it… :-)
