Clucks like a chicken

So let me get this straight: Jack Layton’s proposal for a February election involves voting on a gentleman’s agreement for the government to slit its own throat and have an election, because he’s tired of waiting for the government to fall…?

Ned Franks, a professor at Queen’s University, sums up this stupid stupid stupid plan very succinctly:

“It looks like a duck, it quacks like a duck, but it clucks like a chicken. He’s avoiding pulling the trigger of saying it’s a non-confidence vote but he’s trying to make it as close to one as he can.”

This is NOT a non-confidence motion…and if the opposition parties…if JACK!…wants to bring down the government, he should have the balls to put forward a non-confidence motion and bring down the government…

…but HE WON’T! And neither will Harper! And why don’t they have the gonads to do this?

(1) The NDP and the Conservatives don’t want to be blamed for an unnecessary, expensive election at Christmas…when the government has already publically committed to an election in the spring!

(2) No one wants to side with the treacherous separatists!

(3) If you think the Liberals have no courage…the NDP and the Conservatives have even less!

So play your hand, Jack, and be a leader. If you have no confidence in the government, then BRING THEM DOWN!

Do it, chicken! I dare you!

But you won’t…
