The Leopard and his Spots

Stephen Harper is truly a bizzare, sad, despicable creature…even his campaign handlers must think so! Let’s examine what he said yesterday, on the opening day of the campaign:

1—Against all common sense, he announces that he will re-open the same-sex marriage issue…even though it’s now THE LAW, passed by Parliament, endorsed by the courts, and protected by the Charters of Rights and Freedoms!

But that’s not enough for Harper. He’s determined to enshrine the “traditional” definition of marriage, in order to save the souls of old religious white people…even though he ALSO says this won’t invalidate the same-sex marriages that are already legal…

So…he’s a bigot, a moron, AND an inconsistent idiot.

2—A reporter asks you DO YOU LOVE CANADA? What should the automatic response be of someone running to be Prime Minister of this country…?

YES, YES, GOD-ALMIGHTY, YES!

And what was Stephen Harper’s response?

“I think Canada is a great country,” he says, seemingly taken aback by the question. He then launches into a list of the joys of travelling around Canada.

DING DONG, Harper! You gave the WRONG answer…and Paul Martin made you pay for it in his own launch speech. My God, even George W. Bush wouldn’t make such an elementary mistake!

Conservative MP Jason Kenny later demanded an apology from the Prime Minister for challenging Harper’s nationalism. Well buddy, the Liberals will apologize when YOU apologize for your ridiculous claim about the Liberals being involved in organized crime.

No? Didn’t think so…
