Fate is Nostalgic

I could rant about the Conservatives’ nightmare of a child care policy, but I have something better to talk about today…

Yesterday, my mother went into St. Mary’s Hospital for day surgery. She was rather worried…until they took her to her room…and she made the most amazing discovery. The room, on the fourth floor, in an older part of the hospital, complete with balcony, looked strangely familiar…

And so it should be. It was the same room in which I was born, back in May of 1974!

To say that my mother became all tears-and-smiles at that point would be an enormous understatement.

It would seem that fate was handing out good omens yesterday. It certainly brought a smile to MY face.
