Out like a Lamb

March 2006 disappeared into the mists of history with warm weather, sunshine…even the rain was gentle and bath-like.

I’m going to take this as a good omen. I haven’t enjoyed March very much — it seemed like I lurched from one moment of stress to another, from one exhausting project to another. Hell, it’s taken an entire month just for the glands in my neck to start coming down from their puffy heights of previous weeks.

Easter is coming, and for the first time in months I’m looking forward to actually having a RELAXING holiday. I’m even going to indugle myself for a moment and consider that I might actually deserve it.

Last night, I was standing on a downtown street corner. I had just come out of my local comic book shop, and was waiting to cross the road and visit a near by used book store. Surrounded by dashing cars, and caught up in the warm, post-rain atmosphere of an early spring twilight, I imagined I was 17 again, dashing around downtown as I used to do, without a care in the world.

Today being Saturday, I think I’m going to try and recapture that feeling for the rest of the day…
