The 1980s didn't die...they transmogrified into a collection of upcoming movies!

Are we re-living the 80s? Or are we simply raping a really, really crappy decade?

Big hair, big shoulder pads, and bitchy catfights galore were celebrated in reunions of Dallas and Dynasty on television.

More recently, we’ve had announcements of big budget FILM re-creations of marquee 80s television, from The Transformers (VERY cool!) to Miami Vice (oh sweet mother of…!).

And now…we have the announcement that KNIGHT RIDER, that truly 80s chunk of television goodness, is also making the transition to the big screen. The show that gave us a talking black Trans-Am (awesome!) and a serious attempt to make a white-man’s afro, chest hair, and aviator glasses a style trend (NOT so awesome…).

Confronted with such monumental news, my sister shouted out THE ONLY question that matters: “But who will play THE HASSELHOFF?”

An example of one of THE great & important questions of our time, if I’ve ever heard one.

I almost wish the Rapture would come, and that Jesus would snatch us away to heaven — protecting us from the gobshite that Hollywood will attempt to inflict upon us all…

…but I’m not sure even HE is powerful enough to save us!
