It’s not Mardi Gras… It’s not Corpus Chrisit…
It’s 2.4 million people at a GAY PRIDE PARADE in Sao Paulo, Brazil! Over two million people in a massively Catholic country, partying their brains out AND demaning an end to homophobia in their country.
To be blunt: BLOODY HELL, it’s amazing!
You can read the coverage of the story at the CNN website…so all I’m going to add is that it’s positively breathtaking to see that tolerance and understanding isn’t dead…even in a nation where machismo (and butt-jiggling) is still king, and where much anti-gay discrimination continues to exist.
It’s a nice message to wake up to on a beautiful Sunday morning. And congratulations to CNN for actually showcasing a GOOD NEWS news story…sometimes, they’re not the ambulance chasers they appear to be…
