This is me, arriving this evening at Northampton Station. Do I Iook wilted?
It’s very hot and humid here… and how did I decide to beat the heat? By going on a grand circular walk around London. From Soho, down the Charing Cross Road, along Whitehall and across Westminster Bridge, following the South Bank to the Millennium Bridge. A quick nip up to the currently shrouded St Paul’s, then a quick tube ride to Kings Cross, leaving me just enough energy to drag my white Canadian ass back to Euston station, where I started this crazy journey.
Thankfully, my host has provided me with beer, diet Coke and pizza…which has calmed my rattled and de-hydrated nerves.
Tomorrow will be a Northampton exploration day. The Quest for Cardiff (with, if we’re lucky, some Doctor Who and Torchwood goodness) begins on Monday. Until then you’ll have to be patient as I marshall my resources… and my water supply!
