Today’s list of random things I have decided…
(1) I’ve decided to buy a laptop computer, using my workplace purchase plan. The eventual addition of a router will enable me to surf the net from anywhere in my apartment…including my bed!
For those of you with dirty minds, stop thinking what you’re thinking!
(2) I’ve decided to try to stop taking baths so often, because I know showers are faster and more energy efficient. But it’s not going to be easy. Soaking in a tub, reading a book, sipping a glass of wine…it’s a joyously cheap(ish) way of unwinding after a busy day. And I do fit so snugly into my tub, so…
Scratch that! I’ve decided to reconsider my decision…
(3) I’ve decided that our Health Minister, Tony Clement, is a complete & total dick — much like the Lord of Darkness (masquerading as our Prime Minister) whom he serves. In response to the question of why the government didn’t make a big AIDS funding announcement, even as Canada hosted one of the most successful AIDS conferences in recent memory, he replied:
“That conference, in our view, was becoming a place where you couldn’t have a rational discussion. I think things were way over the top, at least from some of the so-called experts and people that like to have an opinion on these things.”
Nice to know that, since he couldn’t make it himself (hiding up north, I believe…), Stephen Harper sent a deputy to the conference who was more than capable of saying something incredibly pathetic…on a level with the Prime Minister’s usual rants.
(4) Based on the comment above, I’ve decided that we’re doomed as a species.
HEAVY SIGH…
