Dawson College, 2006, is now added to this abomination of a list. At least 20 injured, perhaps two…maybe four dead, at the time of writing…the gunman included…
Again, we’re sickened by the rampage of a young gunman in a school. Again, we must suffer through a count of the dead, the wounded, and the emotionally scarred. Again, we ask ourselves why…
I’m not going to take advantage of this event to tap out a visceral screed about gun control — anyone who knows me and my political leanings will realize where I stand on the issue. But the moment I hear of even one right-wing attempt to explain why gun control wouldn’t have stopped this (and I have a great fear that it’s inevitable)…well, that’s when I’ll lose it!
For now, I’ll simply pray for the victims of this disgusting, revolting tragedy, and hope that tomorrow will be less difficult…
