Bill Clinton, SAVE US!

If there is any further proof needed that the world would be a less fractuous place if the U.S. had a different leadership team…may I present today’s blistering interview with former President Bill Clinton as evidence.

He laid it all out — it was the Niagara Falls of political steam-of-consciousness. He’s tired of sitting back and watching the grand folly of the Bush Administration in Iraq. He tried and failed to get Osama Bin Laden, despite an effort to capture and/or kill him that makes George W. Bush’s attempts look like hide-and-seek at a Sunday School picnic. He took personal responsibility for the failure…personal responsibility…in a day and age when such acts are only to be found in fairy tales…certainly NOT in the war on terror…

And above all, he trashed Fox News and its right wing benefactors for the hatchet job they perform, day in, day out:

“So you did Fox’s bidding on this show. You did your nice little conservative hit job on me. I want to know how many people in the Bush administration you asked this question of?”

“And you’ve got that little smirk on your face and you think you’re so clever. But I had responsibility for trying to protect this country. I tried and I failed to get bin Laden. I regret it.”

He was breathtaking!

The man was angry & frustrated…at his own failures…and at the failures of an intransigent, short-sighted Administration that continues to plunge the country into a black abyss. He’s forced to sit back and watch, when he would obviously give his every last breath to try and resolve the mess that is Iraq, as well as its accompanying baggage.

The world needs men like Bill Clinton. But in this day and age, giants no longer walk the world stage…and we are forced to watch mediocre men and women plunge the Earth into a cesspool of war without end, creating more and more problems…so many that, one day, we may pass the point of no return.

No wonder Clinton is so angry. He’s simply channeling the impotent fury of millions of people!
