How you do digest an act of violence as unspeakable, as repugnant, as the shooting of Amish school children?
Wasn’t the Montreal Massacre enough? Wasn’t Dawson College enough?
What in the name of hell was this psychopath of a man thinking? Was he simply trying to top the latest school shootings, which seem to have raced across the continent like wildfire? Did he believe the Columbine rampage of 1999 set the bar of violence too low?
The most innocent and peaceful of people…I can’t even begin to imagine how they will cope with such a disaster. These are people who live and breathe peace in a way the rest of us can only imagine…how does such a gentle community put itself together after being ripped apart at the seams?
For the first time in my life, I can’t bring myself to consider forgiving someone. How can you forgive a man that takes the life of so many young girls…from a community where such behaviour occurs only in the deepest, darkest of nightmares!
Charles Carl Roberts…you are proof that monsters do walk the Earth. I hope there is a hell waiting for your soul.
