We TOLERATE this man speaking for our country?
We TOLERATE this smut that comes hurling out of his mouth?
Stephen Harper once again demonstrates that he is the most crass, disgusting, and repulsive man to ever hold the office of Prime Minister. In response to the forced apology by our defence minister, for leading the entire country astray over the whereabouts of captured Afghan prisoners, handed over by our military, Harper launched one of the most insulting triades against Liberal Leader Stephan Dion I have EVER had the misfortune to hear:
“I can understand the passion that the leader of the Opposition and members of his party feel for the Taliban prisoners. I just wish occasionally they would show the same passion for Canadian soldiers.”
That’s right, ladies and gentlemen. Let’s beat on our jingoistic-Bush-inspired-war-drum and make sure our wonderful, clean-cut, poster-perfect Canadian boys and girls are held far, far above those shifty, evil Afghan prisoners (all of whom MUST be guilty). After all, only CANADIANS deserve to have their human rights respected…after all, if you’re not WITH US, then you’re obviously AGAINST US…
Where have I heard THAT before…
As far as I’m concerned, we need to leave Afghanistan…NOW! We’re done. It’s time to go. It’s turning us into something…ugly…and unrecognizable. It’s allowing our Prime Minister to showcase his inner Republican-war-monger as never before. With each passing day, we become a pale shadow of our former selves…and I’m tired of watching us sink lower and lower into the muck Harper calls home.
The sooner we can have an election and attempt to forever banish this man to the dust of history, the better off we will all be!
