My recent review (denounciation) of Spiderman 3 revealed many allies…and the discovery of something even MORE irritating about the film…
Not once is Spiderman’s spidey-sense seen to operate during the entire film! He is taken by surprise, ambushed & attacked on numerous occasions…something the previous two Spiderman films would NEVER have tolerated!
Why is this film determined to make Peter Parker into such a clueless tool? Is it disturbingly satisfied with Campy-Emo-Peter Parker? Good lord…how can ANYONE be satisfied with the struting, Travolta-wanna-be that Tobey Maguire vividly channels on-screen?
This has been sticking in my craw all day…a sure sign that (1) my King Geek sensibilities have been seriously offended…(2) I’m in serious need of something to cleanse my mental palate…and (3) I could use some serious therapy!
