Last night, my friend Corey and I watched one of the greatest-ever BAD 1980s films…a movie so rotten that it’s a work of art…a work of GENIUS!
It’s called RED SONJA…it co-stars Arnold Schwarzenegger in full Conan mode…and Brigitte Nielsen in one of the most stunningly AWFUL performances in history. It’s a movie where a 13 year old kid is the best actor of the bunch…and it’s worth watching to find the moment where Nielsen FINALLY expresses emotion…badly:
Yes, you can prove we were both insane because (1) this scene provoked almost 30 minutes of sustained laughter that nearly caused organ failure; and (2) we bothered to take SEVERAL screen shots of the historic Nielsen moment…and we weren’t even drunk!
I guess geeks really DO need to make their own fun…which is only going to increase in the near future, as I’ve just discovered they’re working on a REMAKE! Watch out world…
