ENGLAND TRIP 2007 - Part 2: Warwick Castle & Bath

WARWICK CASTLE

Last year, I had a chance to wander through the town, but only managed to see the outside of the castle. This year, I finally managed to enter the impressively-intact medieval fortress. It offered plenty of high-wall views, dungeon & high-class interiors, and some tongue-in-cheek wardrobe play. smile

BATH

A beautiful town, where all buildings MUST (MUST…by LAW!) be built of the same BEIGE-coloured stone! Luckily, for such a neutral-hued environment, it was also extremely pretty (and extremely RICH), perched high above the Avon River.

THE ROMAN BATHS

The ancient Romans did a hell of a good job — they’ve lasted a long time (and the hot spring itself continues to bubble after 40 000 years). Mind you, I was surprised how hidden the ruins were from the street-scape…

BATH ABBEY

The last of England’s great, medieval gothic churches (dating back to the 14th & 15th centuries). It’s a sumptuous place, with some of the most amazing fan-vaulted ceilings you’ll ever find in such a structure. I’ll let the pictures speak for themselves…
