ENGLAND TRIP 2007 - Part 4: Salisbury & Stonehenge

SALISBURY – CATHEDRAL & TOWN

Salisbury Cathedral is one of the largest, most impressive medieval buildings in all of England. Its spire was once one of the tallest structures in the western world, and its weight is actually warping the massive pillars that hold it up – 17 inches over the last 300 years! Luckily, the engineers are keeping an eye on things… wink

STONEHENGE

Here’s a sequence of photos taken as I walked counter-clockwise around the 5000 year old megaliths…ending with a shot of me and my friend Corey. It was an absolutely beautiful, sunny day that greeted our visit to this collection of famous stones on Salisbury Plain…
