This thing pictured here is a croc. For the last year or so, it has become footwear de jour for millions of people in North America.
People say they’re comfortable and they look nice. I suspect that all people who say such things to me about the lumpen monstrosities they wear on their feet are smoking noxious substances, and are in desperate need for the help of both the British and American versions of What Not To Wear!
This piece of repulsive, neon-coloured rubber, masquerading as stylish footwear, is so utterly offensive that even the most corrupt & defective Chinese factory/sweat shop wouldn’t admit to manufacturing them! They’re low-end even by Wal-Mart standards!
Luckily, many sane people across the world agree with me, and I was vindicated by today’s Globe and Mail, which published a cartoon in its editorial section that rightfully skewers the hideous piece of anti-fashion. The cartoon shows a close-up of a tiny warning label on the bottom of the shoe. Take note of it, ye uber-humans who do not know how to dress:
GOVERNMENT STYLE WARNING
Cheap? Comfortable? Trendy? Well, yeah, but these are so godawful gauche and UGLY!!!
