Four years…

Yup…it’s been four years since I started this endeavour. Seems like a lifetime ago…a labour of love and happiness.
The last year, unfortunately, hasn’t been quite so happy, and the blog has been filled with a great deal of sadness…and many of the entries only hinting at the despair and grief I’ve suffered. People shouldn’t have to put up with so much melancholy…everything seems to be so bleak and miserable. The children I teach seem to become more and more disrespectful by the day…the world seems to be a less happy, more chaotic place in general…
Even with all the joys in my life…all the geeky past times and inspirations…an upcoming trip and my sister’s wedding on the horizon…I wonder whether the future will be any brighter. I’m usually more optimistic than this, but these days, my soul is aching far too much.
Still…all I can do is continue to perservere…and hope that 2008 comes through in a way 2007 never did. We’ll find out soon enough…
