In the words of the Doctor: “This is getting ridiculous.”

Well, perhaps it is…but it’s a ridiculousness worth living with. ![]()
Congratulations once again to new Doctor Who executive producer & writer Steven Moffat, who has just won his THIRD consecutive Hugo award: the winning episode in question being the silent-weeping-screaming angel showcase Blink.
Unless you’ve been living under an ancient rock, far away from the Geek-Universe, you’ll know that he also won the award in 2005 for The Empty Child/The Doctor Dances, and again in 2006 for The Girl in the Fireplace. I’m beginning to think his name should be permanently stamped onto the award…if it wasn’t for the fact that most people are already taking bets that outgoing showrunner Russell T. Davies’ superb Midnight will walk away with next year’s trophy.
Personally, I was rooting for Paul Cornell’s sublime Human Nature/The Family of Blood (which came in second, and is easily my favourite story from series 3), but I’m not going to deny the fact that Doctor Who — once again — seems to own the short form Sci-Fi category of the most prestigious Sci-Fi award in the world.
It never gets tiring, praising my favourite show ever. ![]()
