(1) IRRITATED
No Star Trek trailer in front of the screening I attended. I am forced to wait until tomorrow to watch it on the internet. I feel like the 60s child who was promised flying cars in the futuristic space year 2000…and was rewarded with nothing!
I wish to burn down THAT theatre…
…preferably with an over-loaded phaser…if I had one…or knew how to arrange such a geeky cataclysm…but enough of my irritation… ;-)

…by Quantum of Solace. VERY impressed…even slightly taken aback.
A proper review will be coming soon…but I must say…it was…unexpected.
A great deal of pathos…many perceptive jabs at various aspects of the current political/pop-culture landscape…in fact, it verges on being a proper Shakespearean tragedy, mixed up with a Jacobean revenge drama.
In short…it was compelling, to say the least.
Ok…enough with competing emotional demands…more on each of these topics yet to come…
