And the 11th Doctor is...MATT SMITH

Youngest man ever chosen to play the Doctor…

  • 26 y.o. as of this moment…Peter Davison — Doctor #5 — was 29 in 1981

A completely out of the blue pick…

…which is probably for the best. The role could turn this up and coming young man into a star, as it did for Jon Pertwee, Tom Baker, Peter Davison & David Tennant.

You can find his credits at IMDB (ironically, he’s already acted with Billie Piper no less than THREE times…coincidence?) and here’s a useful wiki article about him and being the new 11th Doctor.

I look forward to learning all about him…and seeing what he and new executive producer Steven Moffatt can do with the continuing journeys of the Doctor… :D
