The big boy you see to your right is the Northwest Airlines Boeing 747-400 that will be our main chariot to the land of the rising sun…though after reading about it on THIS site, I long for the 787 Dreamliner replacements that are yet to appear…
I’m not exactly thrilled that we’re heading to Japan via Detroit, and that we’re NOT using a Canadian airline…but Air Canada doesn’t make it easy. What does it say about us when it’s cheaper to use an American carrier? What does it say about us when direct flights between Tokyo and Toronto are savagely curtailed? File under “things that make one say HMMM”.
Still…no sense in bellyaching too much…I AM going to be in Japan, after all. ;-) In the company of 3 other adults and 25 students — it’s not likely to be a boring trip. So let the waiting continue…and the excitement build!
