Current mood: feeling ugly.
I seem to have scratched my corneas with a bad pair of contact lenses. So…I’m forced to wear my glasses full time for a week…and I HATE wearing my glasses. It’s as if someone has swiped my peripheral vision. Checking the blind spot while driving has become a trippy experience, and working out while wearing glasses requires windshield wipers!
But what happens when I try to get new, stylish glasses in an hour from Lenscrafters, to compensate for this mood of ugliness? Well…it seems that my ridiculously thick lenses with astigmatism correction (that’s me…the Helen Keller of blind bats) require a 10 day special order.
So I’m stuck with the glasses I don’t like very much, while taking eye drops every 2 hours for a week. Oh joy.
Let’s hope the day gets better from here…
