It’s a busy time at the moment, but a few random thoughts for your dissemination…
(1) TIGER WHO?
The media obsession with Tiger Woods’ car accident (AKA Escape From Orlando…coming soon from John Carpenter) and his “private sins” have had very little impact on me (it’s the insomnia-inducing, pseudo-sport of GOLF, for heavens sake). In fact, only two thoughts come to mind: (1) WHY does this matter deserve to be front page news, especially when the Chinese press is giving our Feckless Leader a suitably hard (but eminently entertaining) time on his current junket; (2) in WHAT reality does Tiger Woods believe his life to be private? He may wish it was…but it hasn’t been from the moment he strode onto his first pro-golf course, like a demi-god basking in golden sunshine.
Silly Tiger.
(2) WHERE IS WINTER? HIDING UNDER THE SINK?
Not that I’m complaining about living through the first November in decades without any blast from the nostrils of Jack Frost. But I must admit…warm, torrential rain in the first week of December is playing serious havoc with my seasonal internal clock.
With all due respect to those of you living in tropical climates…Christmas isn’t Christmas without a magical sprinkling of snow. A green yuletide is a bogus yuletide…
…and I don’t want to believe I had my car tires rotated for nothing. That’s $11 I could have spent on something far more geeky!
(3) AFTER 10 DAYS, MY NIECE REMAINS THE MOST PERFECT BABY ON THE PLANET
I had to conclude on that biased-but-happy note. :D
