…and rightly so, since Canadians (at least, those of us with two brain cells to rub together) know full well not to trust anyone or anything with a “conservative” label. In Britian, of course, Toryism comes with extra anti-poor, anti-union, anti-BBC, upper class wealthy toff baggage, and right-wing capitalist fury left over from the evil black star that was Maggie Thatcher. This IS the party that revealed some of its more “lordly” members charged items to their parliamentary expense account that included MOAT REPAIR and A HOUSE FOR DUCKS…IN THEIR PRIVATE DUCK POND.
(Yes, they deserve captial letters…and a boot to the head!)
